"Enniscrone Beach is my Absolute Favourite Beach.... & my Dog Skye Loves this Beach too. Even on a busy day at the beach, it's big enough so that it never seems "Full" or Crowded. My Dog & I just Love everything about this Beach.... Water is great, people we meet are always friendly & it's the Only Dog Friendly Beach we know of where if you let your Dog off leash to play with other Dog's, I rarely see other Dog owners giving out !!
Obviously, Dog owner's Have to be Responsible & now Their Dog well enough & have Their Dog trained so that the owner can recall their Dog immediately if & when needs be !! I also rarely if ever see Dog poop on this beach where owners haven't picked up after their Dog !! Which is great. I always bring lits of poop bags just in case.
But yea, my Dog Skye & I just Love everything about this Beach.... Including the little Coffee & Ice Cream Shack that's located in the car park across the pedestrian bridge.
Downside:
There isn't a huge amount of parking at the Beach, we Alway find a space anytime we go there.
Sligo County Council could also do with fixing up the toilets in the Car Park area. These are the Only 2 minor flaws I have. Other than that it's an Absolutely Fabulous Beach."

"Enniscrone is truly one of the best beaches in County Mayo. The nearby town infrastructure makes the area very convenient and welcoming for visitors. The impressive sand dunes and a small river flowing into the sea give the beach a unique charm and naturally divide it into two scenic parts. There is also a pier not far away, which becomes a popular spot on warm summer days and is great for fishing and crab catching. Highly recommended for a relaxing day out."

"This is a beautiful beach. The tide can be way in or way out which makes a very large sandy beach. It seemed very popular when I was there because the beach was filled with people. But parking is limited and fills up quickly on a nice day. There seemed to be all sorts of beach activities, surfing and cafés. There was a festival happening the weekend I was there so they had a small amusement park with rides. I stayed at the Waterfront House and Restaurant which was right on the beach and had a beautiful view for my room."
