Reviews Summary

St. Fintan's Church and Cemetery is primarily appreciated for its peaceful and serene atmosphere, with many visitors noting the beautiful flowers and well-kept graves. However, a significant concern raised by multiple visitors is the consistently wet and marshy ground conditions, which can lead to flooded areas and distressing experiences, especially during funerals. While the tranquility is a major draw, the practical issue of drainage is a point of contention.

"The graveyard is very very wet and flooded at most times . When you visit , it is like walking on very wet marshy ground . Surely it can be drained . Flooded graves are very distressing for families I was there on 21st. Oct and there was a funeral taking place near where I was standing. I think the family must have been even more distressed to see a loved one lowered into a flooded grave. Something must be done . I’m sure the cemetery has received numerous complaints about this .Please drain the cemetery grounds."

"Just a word of thanks to Padraig (I think his name was) . He was a kind employee of the graveyard who helped me sort my father’s grave. I was very emotional because the grave was full of muck and sods of grass. A small gesture but meant a Hugh amount.
Best wishes
