What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Cork Opera House is widely praised as a fantastic venue with great acoustics and a vibrant atmosphere, perfect for a variety of performances. Attendees appreciate the comfortable seating, reasonable bar prices, and the lovely views from the upstairs bar. However, some visitors have found the photography policy enforcement to be overly strict and wish for clearer signage regarding this rule.
"I watched The Rocky Horror Show this weekend and it was absolutely fantastic. Lovely building, and a really great show.
My only gripe was that there was no photography allowed, (until the end of the show anyway). I think that this should be clearly stated on a sign for example to prevent embarrassment, as the steward was aggressively flashing his light to shine attention on me when I tried to take a clip on my phone to share this great experience with family and friends.
I was not the only person who had an issue with this... Please be clear about your policy on filming/photography for people."

"Attended Walk the Line Tour. Great spot for these gigs. Only fault is the signage needs updating. Dress Circle signs only shiw from A-D"

"What a building. Great place to attend a concert plenty of places to wait for the concert to start before you go into the main hall. The bar upstairs is large with excellent seating there to lovely view of the River Lee out the windows. Can't fault this venue. Drinks prices are not extortionate either. will be watching out for other up coming concerts there. Chris de Burgh concert was amazing."
