"Nice place near Kenmare to see a stone circle, some standing stones, and a circle fort in close proximity. A bit of a walk from the parking lot, but pleasant surroundings."

"Passed a sign for Bonane heritage park as I was making my way to clonakilty and was curious. The sign in the parking lot had me sold and my dog and I took on the hike. It’s not a super far hike; but there’s a steep option and then there’s a not steep option, but also an option to do odions way- if you do that it’s a few switchbacks that are at a bit of an incline. Once you get to the site there’s a bunch of marked and easily findable things to look at. The signs are very informative and give you info about how life used to be. I learned a lot and would recommend anyone interested in cool old history to make the stop! We went at 7 pm and the sun was still up and the bugs weren’t bad. Have an honesty box for paying after hours"
