What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Board is a highly recommended spot for its extensive board game selection and delicious pizzas, creating a relaxed and fun atmosphere for all visitors. While the acoustics can be loud upstairs and occasional stock issues with drinks occur, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with friendly staff and great value for money.
"I've been wanting to try Board for years. We finally managed to do that on a night where we tried out games together with friend who's a game designer.
When it opened Board initially offered only alcohol free drinks and I loved they did that. When I saw they opened the way for some alcohol I thought it was a shame and that I missed a chance to try a special place but in reality I don't think it has missed much. If anything I imagine it has probably improved.
The clientele there in fact is super chilled. The night we were in it seemed to be very popular with couples and families with children.
Alcohol is not a component as most people seem to settle for one, max 2 drinks.
Everyone's focus is on playing.
The selection of games is really really good and I regret not taking a picture or a video of it. Some games have been clearly used A LOT and they are ruined but most are run great shape.
Almost all games can be played for free if each guest at a table consumes at least 15 euros of food & drinks. If not, players are asked to contribute with a fiver for the entire duration of the session. Extremely reasonable.
The pizza we had was surprisingly tasty. It was so filling that probably 1 pizza is enough for 2, even if it doesn't look too large."

"Had an awesome time! The place is super chill, I went with some friends and we were welcomed really warmly by Isabela – she took great care of us and made some amazing cocktails. Big shoutout to the chef too, the pizzas were on point!”"

"Pizza was nice, drinks were decent though there was a good few times when something was ordered online and the staff would arrive a few mins later to tell us it wasn't available. There was a table quiz on the night we went and that was good fun. There was not enough soft furnishings upstairs so the acoustics were quite loud. I'd return."
