"Saw Kevin Mooney’s “Tubersclerosies” last night. The young woman at the entrance said it was about colonialism and the Great Hunger. I walked in, I had the gallery to myself. Haunting is the word that comes to mind. I could see the beauty in what I perceived as pagan themes but they were obscured, warped. I recognized Brigid and sacred trees. The green of the land flowed throughout. It could have been beautiful but history wouldn’t have it."
