"Excellent service from the shuttle, reception, chefs and staff.
Room: Stayed at the twin room with garden view. Room had the basic amenities, clean and well maintained. I have read other reviews about musty smell but didn’t encounter this throughout my stay.
Food: Dined at a few restaurants specifically at Mayang sari, Keelong seafood, coffee shop and Poolside. Our favorite was the seafood platter from the poolside, we dined another time and ordered satay which was also delicious. Understand the pricier side as this was inside the resort but i think was reasonable. Buffet breakfast also had a nice spread and was also delicious.
Facilities: Beach was clean and you could see small fish near the shore, but do be careful of jellyfish. We tried bowling and rifle shooting and we enjoyed it. We also saw they arranged a movie night.
Overall, they exceeded our expectations and would consider to come back again 🍃"

- the place is very nice - pool, beach side, bar beside pool, lots of areas for relaxing, walking and talking

"I booked a 2-night stay at Nirwana Gardens with high expectations, but the experience has been quite shocking and disappointing so far.
1. Misleading Room Upgrade & False Information
I was told that if I booked a Deluxe room, I’d be upgraded to a Premier room. Over the phone, I was assured that Premier rooms come with a balcony and a sea view. In reality, there is no balcony and only a garden view. The room is very small, and there’s no sofa seating either. If this is considered their Premier category, it’s far from what was promised.
2. Almost Everything Is Chargeable
Except for the swimming pool, nothing is complimentary. Board games, snooker, the kids’ club, and even the lobby pool table are all paid. I understand paying for water sports, but being charged for basic indoor games was surprising. The property advertises itself as family-friendly, yet every activity feels like an add-on cost.
3. Indian Restaurant Is Not On-Site
They promote “Spice” as their Indian restaurant, but it’s actually a shuttle/bus ride away. You’re fully dependent on their internal transport if you want that option, and there are no alternatives nearby.
4. Not Baby-Friendly at All
The resort is clearly not designed for families with infants or toddlers. There are no baby toiletries or amenities — no cot, no bottle sterilizer, no kids’ cutlery, no toilet seat attachment. When we requested vegetarian baby food, no one took it seriously. The only response was, “You can go to the Indian restaurant and buy,” which again requires taking the shuttle. So parents end up eating at the coffee shop buffet while having to travel separately just to arrange food for the baby. Extremely inconvenient and insensitive to families with small children.
5. Uncomfortable Bedding
The mattresses and beds are very uncomfortable. For the price point and branding, better sleep quality is expected.
6. Charging for Basics
Even mid-range hotels provide glasses and basic cutlery in the room. I asked for a glass to prepare milk for my baby and was told it’s chargeable. This is the first time I’ve seen a property charge for something so basic. It feels like everything except the air you breathe comes with a fee.
Overall
The resort positions itself as affordable and family-oriented, but the reality is quite the opposite — unmet promises, extra charges everywhere, lack of comfort, and zero consideration for guests with babies. In hindsight, an all-inclusive resort like Club Med would have been a far better choice.
I truly hope the management takes this feedback seriously, because the location has potential, but the guest experience falls far below expectations."
