What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Suroloyo Peak for its breathtaking 360° views and its spiritual significance as the 'midpoint of Java.' The climb through plantations is also a highlight. However, some reviewers note that the peak is not always well-maintained, with broken steps and occasional cloudy weather obscuring the vistas. The presence of wasp nests has also been a concern for some.
"Beautiful, amazing. Sadly there's a giant wasp nest on top of the peak. So I can't be there for more than 10 minutes cause I'm scared awkwk"

"Beautiful 360° view from the Peak.
Parking area available. 10 to 15 minutes walk through the stairs to reach the top. The steps can be slippery and their size and length differ so people are invited to be carefull.
There are two accesses through two different stairs.
It is really quiet. The peak doesn't have a lot of space, maybe 15-20 people maximum can fit."

"This was my second trip to Suroloyo Peak, and like the first visit it was mostly cloudy, not a good morning to take photos. Unfortunately, this site is not so well maintained, lots of broken steps and signage. You need to go up a few hundred steps to reach a small observation deck. On a good clear day you would have a breathtaking 360° vista. There's an option to walk down toward the West side, the climb is not as steep."
