What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the stunning turquoise waters and the natural beauty of Sambangan Blue Lagoon, often calling it a 'hidden gem.' The adventure activities like cliff jumping and natural slides are a major highlight, offering thrills and unforgettable experiences. However, some find the trek challenging and note that the water's color can appear less vibrant in the early morning light.
"One of many similar attractions on the island — not overly commercialized by the locals, which is nice. It looked good, though when we were there early in the morning (around 8:30/9:00), the way the sun was hitting it made it look more like a dark pond. I think visiting around midday or in the afternoon would probably give you a more visually impressive experience."

"You can enjoy the view but the hiking is difficult with unbalanced stares. According to the locals there is no way to go there, but only when you pay entry fees that costs 125k to 500k depending on what hike you choose.
The waterfalls are great and the water is freezing but you will forget the hike when you get up there."

"We hired four local bike drivers to take us to the “short walk in” starting point. Best idea I’ve had all holiday!! Lagoon was 5 min walk in and was filled with tourists but plenty room for all. Some had canyoned in and some walked. Lovely guides helping people on the wet rocks. A bit smelly, we think from the bats and monkeys but a lovely cool spot for a swim."
