What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Parangkusumo Beach is praised for its dramatic sand dunes and thrilling jeep/ATV rides, offering a unique adventure. Visitors appreciate the affordable entry and the stunning sunset views. However, the strong, dangerous waves make swimming impossible, and some find the beach cleanliness could be improved.
"Avoid coming here at noon, or you'll get sunburned easily. The beach has a wide shoreline, which is fantastic for activities like riding a jeep or ATV. However, you can't swim here—the waves are quite dangerous. We rode the jeep for 300K, and it was a fun experience."

"A popular beach next to Parangtritis Beach (actually part of it). It's one of the beaches included in the entry fee to Parangtritis (IDR 30,000.- for a motorbike with 2 persons). When we came on a Sunday, it was so crowded but parking was well organized. A vast, flat sandy waterfront with great rolling waves makes it attractive for playing water, even for kids (with the SAR team standing by). Along the beach at a distance from the water there are many food and souvenir shops. Visitors can ride a horse, a horse cart, an adventure jeep, a beach paraglider (when available) or an ATV. There are swimming pools for kids. Many places offer clean bathrooms and restrooms (some with mushollas) for little money."

"Big waves, not suitable to swim. Cheap tickets. Not that clean but still ok to enjoy."
