What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Paal Beach is lauded for its breathtaking natural beauty, featuring soft white sands and clear blue waters. Visitors appreciate the serene atmosphere, especially when arriving early, and the picturesque 'Teletubbies' hills. However, some find the on-site dining options expensive and suggest improvements to infrastructure and hygiene for a more complete tourist experience.
"Good beach. I think they need to develop the surroundings. Pay someone to clean it up every day, build some basic and clean infrastructure like toilets and showers. Tourists will not come back if it's not hygienic. Especially foreigners. Also build some basic cafes and restaurants. Then make people pay a small fee to access the whole lot. I'm sure they won't mind if the place has good facilities. I won't.
Then in a few years it might get more crowded. Hopefully the authorities will be able to handle the crowds by investing in the area properly. Make it nice, please. Don't ruin it. 💜
PS: don't pet the dogs. They might carry rabies. I totally forgot about that."

A highly recommended natural tourist destination in North Sulawesi!🙌🏻 No wonder it's one of Indonesia's five super-priority destinations.
The beach is absolutely beautiful: the ocean is a stunning blue, and the sand is soft and white. It's very clean and peaceful 🏖️
There were only four other visitors when I visited, and none of us sat or ate in the local restaurant because the prices were far too high! It costs 50,000 rupiahs just to sit there, excluding food and beverages 😩💰
However, there are decent washing and changing rooms with clean water, though you have to pay 5,000 rupiahs for each bucket 💧"

"We got there early at around 6:30 am, and there was nobody there. We got the beach to ourselves! The entrance is good enough, quite clean though there are bits of trash.
You'll have to pay for a table with lounge.
There's a public toilet that you'll have to pay, even for washing/ showering.
Recommended for sunrise."
