"Very disappointed. I scoured many travel websites and all of them seemed to place Nongsa beach highly. However, when I arrived here, it was deserted around sunset time, and the beach is so dirty. On top of that, there’s a lady charging 3k IDR as entry fee (doubt that was genuine). Gonna avoid this place in the future"

"Small dirty beach full of rubbish right beside a Kampung. Some pavilions for you to picnic and restaurant nearby. Has boat ride to the island , not suitable for actual beach activities.
Not worth the time"

Exploring Nongsa's Coastal Gems
However, it's important to note that visitor experiences can be mixed. Some reviews point out that certain areas of Nongsa Beach can be dirty and deserted, particularly around sunset, leading to disappointment for some travelers. This contrasts with the curated images often seen on social media. Therefore, managing expectations and perhaps checking recent local conditions is advisable before visiting, especially if you're seeking pristine, untouched beaches.
Resort Stays and Beach Clubs
Newer additions like Tiger Beach Club at Nuvasabay Nongsa are emerging as trendy spots, particularly for enjoying sunsets with views of Singapore. These establishments offer a more refined experience with dining, drinks, and often watersports activities. They provide a comfortable base for enjoying the Nongsa coastline, though they come with resort pricing.
Navigating Nongsa: Transport and Local Insights
Local insights from Reddit suggest that beaches closer to Batam Center might not be as clean, which could imply that areas like Nongsa, being further out, might offer a different experience, though this isn't always guaranteed. The presence of small villages (Kampung) near some beaches also indicates a more local, less commercialized environment, which can be a charm for some but a detractor for others expecting resort-style amenities.
