"Saturday - 25 Oct, Wake Up as early at 4 am & the boatman fetch me at the hotel from 5.30am and the jetty is walkable about 10 mins from the hotel only.
About an hour later .. that's Lok Baintan FM at the river not canal manmade.
Surprisingly not so much to see and a bit disappointed ( That's y I don't believe some reviews in Google and thought better from Bangkok FM - Overrated places & full of scammers)
The local womens paddle the sampan selling Fruits, Veggies, Local Kue (Not much likely because too sweet) and others.
At the end, I just spend abt 30 mins only."

"Floating market at Lok Baintan. You can go to this place to enjoy the traditional way of Banjar people trade on small boats. You can rent a boat from the dock then sail the river for about 45 minutes to reach the market. You should leave at 5:30 AM from the dock.
Once you’re here, local seller with small long boat will approach your boat to offer their stuff, mostly fresh fruits, traditional snack, food, and souvenirs. This floating market ended at around 7:30 AM before the sun gets too hot."

"A free trip from our hotel (Swiss-Belhotel). Nice view along Martapura river *the locals was taking their shower 😅
The LokBaintan market itself was lovely. The sellers will force you to buy their goods. Just be kind and do not nego. They are all local peoples who dont earn much. We bought all the rice packs from many sellers and give it back to the them for breakfast. The kue was nice amd delicious. Highly recommended."
