What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Gundaling Hill is praised for its breathtaking panoramic views of Mount Sinabung and Mount Sibayak, offering a refreshing highland experience. Visitors appreciate the affordable entrance fees and the opportunity for activities like horseback riding. However, some note that certain areas, like the glass bridge, might be overpriced compared to free viewpoints, and some facilities can appear a bit run-down.
"Probably the best view over the city of Berastagi! There are several lookouts at the top of this hill to choose from. You can see the city on one side, or Mt Sinabung and the sunset in the other direction. There’s also a glass-floor lookout which costs 2k, though you can get the same view elsewhere for free in my opinion.
The place itself is a little run down - several huts with broken steps and trash etc… but as a viewpoint I’d recommend going to finish off your day exploring Berastagi.
Entrance was cheap and easy by scooter. The road follows a 1-way system so you can see the view all the way around.
