Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Curug Sidoharjo for its impressive height and the powerful water flow during the rainy season, describing it as a beautiful, refreshing, and tranquil natural escape. The short, pleasant trek from the parking area is also a highlight. However, some reviews mention that the site could benefit from better management and cleanliness, with occasional issues regarding trash.
"I visited Curug Sidoharjo two months ago in the Kulon Progo area with friends. In my opinion, the journey to the waterfall is winding and uphill, but the area is easily accessible. When we arrived at the parking lot, we parked our motorbikes at Embung Canggal, and there was a parking attendant. It's free to enter, and we only paid for parking. From the embung, you can see the hills, and it's beautiful when the weather is clear. It's definitely worth a visit. If you want to go trekking, it's okay, only about 800 meters from the parking lot to the waterfall. Along the way, the atmosphere is very natural, with trees on both sides, and it's really cool and refreshing. There's also a stream with clean water. At the waterfall, the water is really refreshing. If you like peace and nature, I highly recommend it. The waterfall is clean, and you can take photos from every angle. The waterfall is beautiful, like a pretty picture. You have to visit here at least once."

"I think this place is quite pretty. The walk from the parking lot to the waterfall took only 10 minutes and it was an easy walk. The path also has beautiful view. The waterfall itself is not as big as I thought but it's quite tall indeed. The water isn't as clear when I visited. Probably due to the rainy season. But it was a good experience nonetheless. You can bring food and do some picnic there. Maybe bring your own chair or something to sit on as the place is wet. The parking lot is vast and you can pay as much as you want and there are no charge to get in the waterfall. The only downside is that the place seems to not be managed properly. There are abandoned buildings that I assume is bathrooms. The trash was not picked up so it piled on one of the corner. Hopefully it can be improved."

"I visited here in May. It rained the night before, but it was sunny in the morning, but after the rain, the waterfall was very strong. This place is a hidden gem and the road is very good. To get here, it's better to use the map point at the Sidoharjo reservoir because the parking lot is there so you don't get lost and need to trek a little longer to get to the waterfall."
