What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Crystal Bay is praised for its stunningly clear waters and vibrant underwater life, making it a top spot for snorkeling and diving. Visitors appreciate the beautiful scenery with granite boulders and the chance to witness spectacular sunsets. However, some find the beach itself less impressive than the underwater world, and the road access can be challenging.
"Probably the weather was not the best but anyway...the beach was not so nice as they describe it. If you go snorkeling you can see really nice fish and corals, that's true. But I would not go there just for the beach. Also there is just on place where to rent masks and fins and just for 2 hours they charge you 150K rp...usually is 50K for the whole day."

"Crystal Bay (also called Silver Beach) is one of the most beautiful spots in Koh Samui. The water is crystal clear, calm, and perfect for swimming or just floating around. The sand is soft and white, and the beach is framed by gorgeous granite boulders and lush greenery, giving it that true tropical paradise feel.
It’s a quieter beach compared to some of the busier parts of Samui, which makes it great for relaxing, sunbathing, or enjoying a peaceful swim. There are a few restaurants and bars right by the beach where you can grab a bite or a cocktail while soaking in the view.
The food around the area is good and reasonably priced, but as with many tourist spots, some places can be a little more expensive compared to local eateries inland. Still, the setting makes it well worth it.
Overall, Crystal Bay Beach is a must-visit if you’re in Koh Samui — stunning scenery, relaxing vibes, and a great place to spend the day. Highly recommend!"

"It's not a wide beach, but the sand is lovely. Many boats are anchored slightly offshore - likely snorkeling boats.
Beach lovers should visit this place. It's gorgeous.
But the road to this place is very narrow and in bad condition."
