"We read glowing reviews about this place, so, we wanted to visit when we were on Pontianak. But sadly, this place looks so poorly maintained when we visited yesterday. Only few people were there. This place gave an impression of an abandoned park.
We came around 5 PM. We had our imagination about how our evening would be. So, we took Grab from our hotel. Initially, we planned to take the boat ride, while watching the sunset. But, sadly, no boat was seen around, neither any signs or anyone or anything that helped us to get more information. It was just a wide empty area. Plus, it was raining. So, idk, was it because of the rain, or just bad timing, but it was really not as we have imagined. So, we only stayed there for 10 minutes, then we left. We saw a big tourism bus was coming, but soon took off after the tour guide checked the place.
Hopefully this place will be improved someday, because we think it has a potential. The Kapuas river is big and it does look amazing, almost like Chaophraya river in Bangkok. Just needs a little more care and maintenance."

"Thanks to local government. Before this was never be a hangout place because because the river bank is not safe. Now it's neatly concreted. Being a place that is quite comfortable for a relaxing walk in the morning or evening. Some locations start exists some of snack stalls."
