"Reis Magos Fort is a quiet, old fort by the river in North Goa. It was built by the Portuguese over 450 years ago to protect the area from enemies. It has a lot to offer for the history buffs! The fort sits on a small hill and gives beautiful views of the Mandovi River and Panaji city.
It has thick stone walls, cool shaded paths, and a few rooms that now show art and history. You can walk around, enjoy the breeze, and take great photos. It’s peaceful, not crowded, and perfect for a short visit, especially in the morning or late afternoon."

"Reis Magos Fort is a must visit if you want to explore Goa beyond its beaches.
The fort has been restored and well maintained with an entry fees of Rs 50 per person.
There are 2 levels to the fort which are easily accessible by a short hike. The level 2 of the fort gives panoramic view of the panjim city and nearby area.
Best time to visit the fort is during the monsoon season when the fort is covered with greens but be careful as it can get slippery.
The fort also houses a museum which showcases the history of the fort, names of the people who were prisoned in the fort and a Gallery showcasing the work of Mario Miranda."
