"Sakthan Skywalk is a newly constructed circular bridge which can be utilised instead of crossing the road through junction. It is the most safe and convenient way to cross a busy road. It also reduces many accidents happening to pedestrians from crossing such a busy road. It is one of the best example of Good Governance.
The construction of the bridge is actually excellent. It has both stairs and lift to climb in and out from the circular bridge. The Bridge is also Air Conditioned ( But may not feel that cold since it is open at exits). Proper sign boards are also given to each road exits such that the visitors can get down at their proper spot. The Exhibition Ground, Fish Market, Vegetable Market etc are some of them. There is no charges for entering or exiting the Skywalk. It is also kept very neat and clean. The Skywalk also have dustbins at appropriate spots which can be properly utilised for waste disposal.
Sakthan Skywalk is also very near to the Sakthan Thampuran Private Bus Stand (200m), Sree Vadakkumnadhan Temple (750m) and many more other important places of Thrissur. It is actually at the heart of Thrissur itself.
The view from the bridge is actually very good. Buses and other vehicles moving below, and the scenery of the Thrissur town makes the destination a not to miss spot. So in your next visit to Thrissur don't forget to visit this spot and enjoy yourself and have a review for your own."
