What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Phoenix Bay Jetty is a well-maintained and essential hub for inter-island travel, particularly for affordable government ferries. Visitors appreciate the clean facilities, including waiting areas with fans and charging points, and the scenic ocean views from the viewing deck. While booking tickets in advance is crucial and access requires a walk from the gate, the overall experience is positive and offers a glimpse into local life.
"Main jetty for all government ships apart from big ship that goes mainland. Properly maintained. Big place. Ticket counters to sitting place. Easily accessible from auto bus."

"This is the jetty for government ferries. You have to reach around 20-30 minutes before your actual departure. Jetty by itself was very clean and maintained well. Was able to navigate without any hassle.
I will add review about government ferries also here if anyone is looking for an opinion on it. I tried both private and government ferries, personally I absolutely loved the Government ones as most of the travellers were natives, it was slightly less crowded in viewing dock. We could enjoy the ride peacefully. The staffs were also friendly and courteous.
A small hack is, don't take the premium Chair tickets on government ferry, as they are on lower deck with no view to the ocean. Also if you are a tourist there is a good chance that you are going to spend almost all time watching it from the viewing deck, so go for the Seat tickets as they are cheaper and have view of ocean which you can see even by sitting inside.
Would definitely prefer government ferries if I am coming again."
