"It is restricted to the public but you can visit karaiyar either by booking the karaiyar-moolakasam trek on trek tamilnadu which is nice and gives you a glimpse of the dam or you can pass by it enroute to bannatheertham safari the only way to see bannatheertham (from afar) overall good experience but during the trek beware of bears. During the safari you can see the falls from a designated viewpoint and can pass by the viewpoint for agastya malai. You can hear the sound of the falls from the other side of the resivoir"
