What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors generally love the unique experience of skating on Shimla's natural outdoor rink, praising the helpful locals who assist beginners. While the rink's maintenance could be improved and sessions are limited, the overall atmosphere and the thrill of learning to skate make it a highly recommended winter activity.
"Just loved it!!
I do not know how to skate, but the people of Simla are so humble and helpful that so many people came to help me to learn.
I tried not to fall but I did and it was so fun to try and fail everytime untill a sikh boy helped me and told me how to control my legs.
It's not members only but tourist can also try it if they want, you have to pay 300rs for 1 hour. And 1 hour is enough.
Your legs would get sore in just one hour, as you have to put so much pressure on them from both sides so that you can balance yourself.
Once you are able to make balance then it's not tough to learn it.
I loved it!"

"An amazing lifetime of an experience to skate on a natural Ice Skating rink. Rink could be maintained better. Attempts could be made to get more more people to the rink. It's totally worth the price. Should work a bit more on its promotion and publicity.
Recently I went after like 5-7 years, the sad part is that the total skating time has now been decreased. Now it is 2 hrs per batch."
