What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Umbrella Falls for its stunning beauty, especially when the Wilson Dam releases water, creating a majestic seasonal cascade. The surrounding lush greenery and the peaceful ambiance of the garden walk are also highly appreciated. However, the waterfall's visibility is entirely dependent on rainfall and dam releases, leading to disappointment for some during dry periods.
"One of the most beautiful waterfall in Bhandardara. We went on 4th May to this beautiful waterfall, although it's a seasonal waterfall but whenever the dam releases the water, we get to see this kind of heavy flow irrespective of the season. The area surrounding the waterfall is also quite soothing and beautiful 😍. There is one dilapated bridge right at the bottom of the waterfall which is closed for the visitor but still people climb and reach the bridge. The walk from the umbrella waterfall garden is also beautiful, walking alongside the stream with flowing water noise really fills your heart with joy."

"One of the Nicest waterfalls around Nashik and also one with a great view.
It is a seasonal waterfall, in a way, as when water is released from the dam only then it gets its majestic view.
White water, nice misty surroundings & the pleasurable atmosphere with a soothing sound of water is a delightful experience to have.
There is an old dilapidated bridge in front of the waterfall for a better view, it is obstructed by barb wire.
So take precautions in peak monsoon due to loose & slippery surfaces.
Kindly leave the place better than you found it."

"🌿 Scenic Walk, But the Waterfall Depends on the Rain
Umbrella Waterfall is often talked about, but keep in mind—it truly comes alive only during heavy rainfall. We visited on a Saturday with light showers, and unfortunately, the waterfall wasn’t visible at all.
That said, the walk up to the viewpoint was a highlight in itself. A short ~5-minute stroll through a charming, well-maintained garden filled with towering trees, misty air, and the sound of water flowing from the Wilson Dam through a narrow canal. The entire setting was lush, serene, and beautifully green—a perfect monsoon experience even without the waterfall.
📍 Tip: If you’re visiting specifically for the waterfall, aim for a day of consistent heavy rain. Otherwise, enjoy the peaceful nature walk—it’s still worth it."
