"This is the biggest Synagogue in Kerala and it is worth visit. Staff in the Synagogue explains the details bit by bit and you can relive the Synagogue at its peak. Synagogue is in well maintained condition and one can relive the history in it."

"This is a small Jewish Synagogue located at Kodungalloor. Having visited Mattanchery Synagogue, this somehow let out of my sight. This time nabbed the opportunity. The place is well maintained. Preserving under Muziris project and Kerala Government. I haven't seen such well maintained archeological site anywhere else in the state. The only botheration was the charges the levied for photography using a DSLR. Charges are a bit hefty. There were a pack of tourists from Israel moving out as i was entering the place. As i was browsing through the structure, one lady staff inquired whether i would require a guide. And this was completely free. So here comes the guide panting heavily as she was running around explaining things to the previous batch. She took time to explain each of the artifacts, their importance and about all key dates of the monument. There was a short video documentary which explains all these along with recreated historic events. You can request for this. I haven't seen any professional guide which so much enthusiasm and dedication who explains details well. I forgot her name in due course but is a brilliant orator. She and a couple of other female staff are running and maintaining the place well. Only a few tourist monuments are maintained like this. It was a great experience. If you are a foreign/inbound tourist and visiting Cochin, you must visit this place in Kodungalloor to get a glimpse on the past. Some of the place's frames are attached. Hope you enjoy these."

"Apparently built in 1165 AD, even though dichotomy exists hinting at different dates; this Synagogue stands testimony to resolute faith to LORD YAHWEH.
Renovated by the Kerala Government in 2010 as part of the Muziris Heritage Project and later converted the Synagogue into a Jewish Heritage Museum.
The Synagogue is situated in a blink and you miss street so get your Google Maps updated."
