What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Nandi Hills is celebrated for its breathtaking sunrise and sunset views, often enhanced by mystical mist. Visitors appreciate the serene atmosphere, historical sites, and the refreshing escape from city life. However, some find accommodations basic and are concerned about littering and the presence of monkeys.
"On weekdays, it’s calm and serene, while weekends can get pretty lively with crowds. The sunset views here are absolutely spot on! Sunrise is beautiful too, but if the mist and clouds take over, you may end up missing the magic.
Be mindful though, this hill is home to plenty of monkeys 🐒. The moment you open a food packet, they’re quick to join you, uninvited.
If you truly want to soak in the beauty of this place, consider staying a night on top. The KSTDC guest houses may not be luxurious (the rooms are simple, sometimes even below average), but the location makes up for it. Waking up above the clouds, watching the moonlit night, and strolling through mist-covered gardens is an experience to remember. I stayed at Nehru Nilaya, while the rooms weren’t great, the outdoor garden was far more charming.
The Mayura restaurants are perched at scenic spots, almost like dining at a viewpoint, adding to the hilltop charm.
What dampens the mood a little is the sight of broken beer bottles carelessly left in the bushes, a reminder that nature deserves more respect.
The hills is best enjoyed with patience, timing, and an overnight stay. A timeless spot where clouds, sunsets, and silence meet."

"A very beautiful location and it was raining when we went. Had a very thrilling experience. The hills give a mesmerizing views. The stay there will make a wonderful stay. But make sure to reach before 5 pm., otherwise you have to walk uphill for about 1.5 km. Upto the main entrance buses and autos ply. After entering only a mini bus takes to different places. The mini bus stops plying by 6 pm sharp. After that you have to walk. The resorts that look very beautiful.
Wheelchair ♿️ accessible for almost many places, but in many places we have to use steps. There are 2 restaurants, fruits and vegetables shop, beautiful view points, Nandini milk kiosks. Everything closes by 8.30 pm.
This place is a Paradise for trekkers. There will be rains mostly. Hence carry an umbrella and raincoat. Amazing views and enchanting nature."
