What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors often praise the refreshing experience of the safari through the lush green forests, with many enjoying sightings of deer and elephants. However, some find the experience underwhelming, citing limited animal sightings beyond the entrance and uncomfortable safari vehicles. The lack of clear information on timings and the perceived value for money are recurring concerns for a portion of visitors.
"We came here on a cloudy day with little drizzling. We did not have much expectations to see animals, but the overall safari in the jeep through the forest was really great! It felt so fresh and the air was great. Amazing experience, have done this multiple times in the past, those times they used to allow own vehicle like bus, but now they allow only either minimum bus of the forest authorities or else their jeeps. We went in the jeep and it was great! Such a refreshing 45 minutes spent inside. Lush greenery all around with huge trees. We saw lot of deers inside the forest. Unfortunately elephants were not there, but we did see few captured elephants at the Muthanga station."

"Enjoyed our safari at the Muthanga Wildlife Santuary.
We spotted so many beautiful elephants in their natural habitat with their babies and they were so protective.
We also spotted peacock, peahen, vultures, deer and the most awaited tiger paw print and that was a little disappointing.
But the green and lush forest refreshes you and leaves you feeling rejuvenated."

"Worst experience ever. 👎
Don’t waste your time or money here. It’s just a jeep ride through the jungle — nothing exciting or unique.
🐘 You’ll only see 2–3 elephants at the entrance (chained), and a few deer — that’s it.
🚙 The jeep quality is also very poor and uncomfortable.
Overall: Not worth it.
Avoid this place — not even worth a single penny."
