Dr Shanky Chandok

"Walking through the ancient ruins of Nalanda University feels like stepping into a whispering chronicle of human wisdom and time. The red-brick monasteries and quiet courtyards breathe stories of scholars who once shaped the world with thought and debate. Sunlight filters through arched doorways, illuminating moss-covered walls that still seem to guard the echoes of chants and philosophical discourse. The silence here is profound — not empty, but filled with the hum of centuries past. Visiting Nalanda is less a journey through history and more a pilgrimage to the very soul of learning itself."

MEHEDI HASSAN RAHAMAN

"One of the best things I have seen. Nalanda university from the ancient times will transport you back to the time when it was a bustling vihara. There are many monuments within the complex including shariputra stupa, monasteries, temples, hostel complexes with kitchen, lecture halls. The entry fee is 20 rs per person and it is open till 5 pm. You can get a guide for Rs 500. I would say it would be better if it closes by 6 pm because the view is beautiful in the evening sunset. The museum near ro the compelx is closed for renovation and we couldn't see the exhibits there. There is a bihar tourism department run canteen nearby that serves decent clean food."
