"A temple pond complex with a man-made island in the middle. A great venue for spending the evening in Madurai and enjoying with snacks. One has to bargain a lot with Autos to reach here or while going back to your stay.
This place is a hot spot for all the local ppl with walking area around the pond and which lighted up in the evening. Many ladies were seen enjoying their evening with mirchi bhajji or fruit chat or other snacks which are available from the different carts. Children were playing nearby in narrow pathway.
Boating facility is available but during my trip it was not operating. Otherwise one can reach to the temple and explore that also. But luckily I witnessed beautiful sunset."
