"Vaishali is very important for Buddhist and Jain religious. According to the Buddhist literature the king of Monkey offered bowl of honey to the lord Buddha in this place. The Stupa had built in the Mauryan period but enlarged in the Kushan period. One Asokan pillar made by polished sand stone with seated lion is located near the stupa."
