Visitors find the Indo-Portuguese Museum a small but historically significant site in Fort Kochi, offering a glimpse into the Portuguese influence on Kerala. While some note the sensitive portrayal of the colonial past, most appreciate the well-curated exhibits and the welcoming staff. The affordable entry fee and convenient location make it a worthwhile stop for history buffs.
"A small museum located in the heart of fort kochi. Has a small piece of our history. Well i would be biased as although beautiful, I feel deeply saddened about the portrayal of Indians here but it is what it is as most of our invaders were extremely racist and brutal towards us, our culture and our wealth."
Gaurav Sharma
"A small museum showcases old heritage material belonging to Portuguese time.
It's opposite St. John De Brito and near Victory Dawn, Kochi - amã Stays & Trails and on the way to Fort Kochi beach.
The open parking ground is there outside this museum, free parking is available.
Attaching only notes on a few belongings."

"(Visited in August 2025) - The Indo-Portuguese Museum, located within Bishop's House, Fort Kochi marks a key milestone in India - Portugal relations. This is a small museum and the staff is extremely energetic, enthusiastic and welcoming. The museum houses artifacts belonging to Portuguese Churches which were damaged after the Dutch conquest of Portuguese Kerala. It offers a glimpse into the violent colonial past, without sugar coating the brutal religious persecution and notions of white man's burden that are a both a consequence and cause.
There is an entry fee of Rs.20 per head (Indian), and kudos to the person at the ticket counter, who was brimming with joy, displaying the items of the museum."
