What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Statue of Unity as a magnificent architectural achievement and a source of national pride. The scale of the statue, the panoramic views from the gallery, and the surrounding attractions like the zoo and gardens are frequently highlighted as positives. However, some visitors note that crowd management can be an issue during peak times, and the express entry ticket price is considered very high.
"I recently visited the Statue of Unity with my kids, and it was a wonderful experience. It’s definitely worth visiting, especially if you are going with family. I would suggest going in a group of 2–3 people or more for an even better experience.
The zoo inside was also very nice, with a good variety of animals and birds that the kids really enjoyed watching. We went on a weekend, so there was quite a crowd, but the atmosphere was lively. Even though it was raining, the views around the statue looked beautiful and refreshing.
Overall, it was a memorable trip filled with learning, fun, and enjoyment. Highly recommended for families!"

The view from the top gives a stunning glimpse of the dam and the surrounding nature.
Definitely a must-visit place — totally worth the trip!"

"I have visited it in the off season that is September month. It was a little hot and humid. I planned it on Friday to avoid overcrowding and waiting for long in a queue. Free bus service is available from ekta nagar railway station and also from shreshth bharat bhavan. There are 3 types of tickets that are only view at feet level, viewing gallary at chest level (you need to be in queue) and last one direct entry at chest level without any queue. The price of a ticket is based on your choice. I suggest you book it in advance and pick the time slot based on your choice. There is a projection mapping show which starts from 7:30pm till 8.00pm. Ensure to select the projection mapping option and its location while you book the ticket online. I prefer the location in SOU campus. Golf cart is available for senior citizens and needy people however they are allowing everyone for pickup and drop from entry to the Statue location. Food items and water bottles are not allowed inside the SOU premises. Ensure you complete your statue visit before 6:00pm since security does not allow the visit near the statue after that time."
