It's said that, the sanctuary is home to more than 220 species of birds including both, migratory and resident birds. The best time to plan your trip is from October to February when the migratory birds make their way to the sanctuary. Try to visit the sanctuary early in the morning, if possible. There are two parts to the Sanctuary. 'Part I' which is a stretch of around 6 Kms and no vehicles are allowed in this area. You have to walk to see the birds and experience the beauty of nature. 'Part II' which is a stretch of around 4 Kms and vehicles are allowed in this area. The entry ticket is Rs. 50 per person. The timing of the sanctuary is 6 AM to 5 PM."
