"Dolphin’s Nose Viewpoint is one of the most breathtaking spots in Coonoor and a must-visit for anyone who loves panoramic mountain views. Perched high above the Nilgiri hills, it offers a spectacular view of the Catherine Falls cascading down in the distance and the endless stretch of lush green valleys below. The viewpoint gets its name from the rock formation that resembles a dolphin’s nose, and it truly lives up to the reputation. On clear days, the visibility is fantastic, and the view is absolutely mesmerizing; during misty weather, the fog gives the place an almost mystical feel. A must-visit destination in Coonoor for those who want to experience the true beauty of the Nilgiris."

"Visited in mid-June, Dolphin’s Nose in Coonoor was nothing short of magical.
Cradled amidst lush emerald valleys, I witnessed mist weaving through the mountains like whispers from the clouds. A slender, majestic waterfall cascaded in the distance—almost surreal—framed by the dramatic cliffs and blooming wildflowers in the foreground. This breathtaking view was a gentle reminder of nature’s untouched poetry, where silence speaks louder than words. An unforgettable moment suspended between heaven and earth."

"After you get down from your car/Taxi, you walk for about 10 minutes. Shops on both sides of this walkway. Ticket price is ₹40 for adults.
Situated at 6600 ft above sea level. There is a viewing (protruding flat rock) projection which resembles a Dolphin's snout. Perhaps this gives the name to this place. Not sure.
Here the Washroom should be used in case of urgency only. Better to avoid.
The view is very good here but due to mist, we couldn't enjoy that. A waterfall was visible at distance."
