"A lovely place in the heart of Bikaner to check out the one of the oldest and well maintained archives of India.
I learnt about the outdated microfilming process plus saw books as old as 120 years, most of the other documents are all wrapped up since an extensive renovation is in process.
There are no tickets and one needs to go in person and request the personnel for access."

"Dear Friends,
Kindly take a minute to read...
recently visited the Rajasthan State Archives Bikaner and met a stalwart Dr. Mahen Khadgawat (Director of Archives Rajasthan Bikaner) I was pleasantly surprised by the kind of work he has been doing, Ground Breaking, Path Making or Ahead Of Age many ways to define it , but at that very moment I was just wordless and captivated with the huge task of digitizing and micro filming work of restoration that he has undertaken ( which beats even National Archives Delhi), undoubtedly, one of the nations most foremost guide for saving our priceless documents, freedom fighter speeches, and relics from past, Mughal Era, British India and till date documents.
Work he has done has multitude effects, Social, Economical, Historical, and many more facets.
Thanks a lot Sir for your endless efforts and hardwork
