What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Antur Fort is praised for its stunning natural beauty and panoramic views, especially after the monsoon. While the trek is manageable and the historical ruins are intriguing, visitors consistently note the extremely poor road conditions and lack of amenities as significant drawbacks.
"Wonderful little trek, good for a one day trip from in and around Aurangabad.
The road leading to the fort is in very very bad condition. So, if you're traveling by car, you might have to park it a couple of kilometres before.
This is a beginner level trek, just carry a bottle of water and some snacks to munch along if needed (pls do not litter). Shouldn't take more than couple of hours to complete the trek. You can see some fortification ruins along the way.. but some of the structures on the top were interesting. Best visited during and post monsoons.
No water, washroom, etc anywhere near the fort. No maintenance and services."

"Antur Fort is a quiet and beautiful place in the hills of Maharashtra. The fort is old and has broken walls and gates, but it still looks nice. The walk to the fort is not too hard. It’s a good spot for people who enjoy nature and history."

A ridge of the Ajantha- Satmal range intrudes into northern Khandesh. On this Anturgad fort is convenient to go via Chalisgaon- Nagad. It is from the fort and the bush. On its side, the ramparts, the construction of the Bhakka Darwaza, its dilapidated wooden gate are worth seeing. Accommodation and water facilities are available at the fort. Built by a Maratha chieftain in the 15th century, this fort later came under the control of the Nizam of Ahmednagar."
