Take the A2 trail"

"This horseshoe-shaped canyon is breathtaking. There are a couple of legends on how it was created. The first legend is that Odin’s eight-legged horse, Sleipnir, stepped on the ground, leaving an imprint on the earth as it sprinted across the sky. The other legend is, it is home to Iceland’s ‘hidden people’, the Huldufólk and elves.

The trails are easy to walk which some areas have steps with railings or rope.

Once you've reached the platform, there's another short trail that takes you to another viewing area. There are parking spots along with toilets. Regardless it is a must-visit if you're in the area."

"You can drive deep in Canyon. Because it was raining we took the shortest way through forrest to the end of canyon and it took us halo of hour max. However it seems you can walk and Explorer around for hours also. It's amazing how it was formed and that is actually a depression."
