"This is actually not the beach (though many people seem to leave reviews for the black sand beach here. The beach is Reynisfjara, this is Reynisfjall). We did the hike on a overcast day. If it was clear, probably the view of Vik would've been so beautiful. You get to go to the top of the cliff that you see from the beach down below. In summer, if you are lucky, puffins will be there also. That was our experience."

"This is the 340 metre tall tuff mountain situated just to the west of the village of Vik in the south of Iceland. There are hiking trails up the mountain where you can enjoy views of the famous black beaches on the east and west sides of the mountain as well as the iconic basalt sea stacks called Reynisdrangar just off the shore.
Otherwise, you can enjoy views of Reynisfjall from Vik or spend time up close on the west side while spending time at the world famous Reynisfjara (black sand) Beach. There you can walk into a shallow cave carved into basalt cliffs of Reynisfjall and enjoy the exposed basalt columns up close, while taking in puffin sightings upon the higher grounds of the mountains cliffs as well."
