Visitors consistently praise Árbæjarlaug for its family-friendly atmosphere, affordability, and variety of pools, especially the hot tubs and waterslide. While not a luxury spa, it's a clean, fun, and authentic Icelandic pool experience that offers great value for money. Some find it basic, but the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive for a local dip.
"My kids RAVED about this pool and asked to go back every day of our vacation XD
We went in the morning, so the vibe was very relaxed with mostly adults and older people. The people working there were very friendly. There were some floating boards and toys for the kids to play with at the indoor pool area. There were 4 hot tubs with 3 different temperatures and so much to do. We saw infants there all the way up to older people. What a wonderful place!"
Kathryn Hill
"Great family swimming pool with plenty of features. For the kids there are shallow pools with a small slide and a larger flume. There's a larger pool for swimming lanes, and around the sides there are a variety of hot-tubs of various temperatures (36-42C), as well as a sauna and cold water plunge pull.
It's nothing chique, but clean and friendly fun for not much money (9€ per adult, our kid was 0€). Well worth a visit."

"Clean facilities and a good mix of pools for kids and adults. A great option for an afternoon straight off an overnight flight for kids (and parents) who might not be coming off a great sleep!"
