"Interesting location with a close by free parking to conveniently access two waterfalls: Barnafoss and Hraunfossar. Crowds in mid-September were limited making the visit very enjoyable. Visiting nearby Barnafoss and admiring the water sculpturing the rocks and flowing towards Hraunfossar was amazing and highly recommend the upper vantage point over Hraunfossar crossing the bridge facing Barnafoss. Hraunfossar is a very charming waterfall which several trickling little waterfalls setup on a considerable width. It was our first day but it kept a noticeable impression even though we visited several impressive and larger waterfalls during our 15 day visit. Highly recommended a relaxing 1 hour visit."

"It’s really worth it. These waterfalls coming from the lava walls are really astonishing. We went in fall and the colour made the landscape really beautiful. There’s another smaller waterfall (named the children’s waterfall) just 3 minutes walk from here."
