Reviews Summary

The Blue Lagoon is a highly recommended, albeit pricey, tourist attraction offering a unique geothermal spa experience. Visitors praise the stunning milky blue waters, the relaxing atmosphere, and the convenient amenities like the in-water bar and silica mask. While some find it crowded and expensive, most agree it's a worthwhile bucket-list item, especially when visited early or late to avoid peak times. Reddit

"Definitely recommend this place! It’s a tourist spot, but it wasn’t overcrowded and is huge, so you definitely have enough space to be secluded. The mask bar is unique and fun, and the walk-up bar is cool. There are also blue slushies that go perfect. I recommend bringing flip-flops. You’ll get a wristband for your locker, so you don’t need to worry about remembering your locker number. There are spots on the wall that you can scan your wrist, and it will tell you which locker was yours. If you want to bring your phone out into the lagoon, you’ll want to bring a protective bag. There are steam baths and a sauna. My husband was reserved about going, but after saying it was amazing and definitely worth going, I agree. Also, remember to put conditioner in your hair if you have long hair from the showers to help protect it."

"Despite it being rather touristy - we loved it here. Could spend all day here.

We visited May 15, starting at 8am, and spent approx. 2.5 hrs on site.

Parking is free and I advise purchasing the tickets in advanced - although it’s less busy first thing, as we were leaving it got really busy - too busy for my liking…so go early. Or go late in the day to avoid that.

Everything is laid out nicely, explained well and there’s always someone around if you have a question. The wrist band given is unique, allowing you to get into your locker and make extra purchases on your account without needing actual money (you just pay when leaving).

You can get into the hot spring inside the building or out front of the building &
you’re welcome to wear water shoes - there’s definitely some weird stuff you step on in the pools fyi. And it’s very easy to run into rocks under the water.

There’s a small snack bar inside, seating seems to fill up fast but there’s extra seating upstairs if it’s full.

It was so windy here my waterproof phone case got incredibly steamy inside, creating water inside the pouch. After a bit I just took my phone out, took my pics and put it in my locker. Many people seem to do this."

"Entry process was quick and easy, locker room and showers were clean and the pools were amazing. Did the 3 mud masks and an in water massage which was so amazing I highly recommend it. It was busy but it was big enough we never felt crowded and if you want total peace just go to the phone free zone and no one will be there ha!"
