"Nice, unexpected little green area in Akureyi. Needed to kill some time and stumbled upon this place. Maybe wrong time of year/day for any birds, but there was a hide."

"Nature beyond your reach. Another trail that everyone can enjoy. Bench is located just close to the parking area elevated. A good angle to watch the pond, birds, plants and landscape. A good place to room around."
Reykjavik Review
"A perfect place to take easy short walks and experience the open icelandic outdoors. Easy and simple trails for people of all ages and physical form to take easy walks, experience the calm of the wilderness and get in touch with nature. The area holds two small natural ponds and is the home to hundreds of birds during the summer months. There are two dedicated bird watching huts in the area with special binocular look out windows and infographics about the local birds and wildlife in the area. The place is easy to get to, has good parking and I would recommend it to anyone who likes birdwatching and/or just to walk or bike in the north-icelandic open outdoors."
