What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Kecskemét is appreciated for its charming Art Nouveau architecture and pleasant city center, particularly Liberty Square. Visitors enjoy the historical ambiance and visual appeal of buildings like the Cifra Palota. However, some find the train station lacking in modern amenities and practical features like platform cover.
"Nice enough station! A bit decadent and with its charm. In the main hall I particularly liked the tiles (they make it seem a thermal bath 😄), the big windows and lights: for me, the symmetry, the colours and the structure are a workof art. Obviously, the toilet was rather disgusting, with no paper and no soap. I appreciate it can be difficult to maintain (?). On the platform/s there's no covering structure, so if it rains, or if there is a bright sun in the middle of the summer, all the people will end up waiting on platform number 1, which has cover from the building and some benches. Definitely needs improvements from a practical point of view!"
