What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Etyek for its proximity to Budapest and the charming wine region experience. The local ciders and white wines are highlights, though some note that red wine options are limited. Planning ahead for tastings is recommended.
"A slow and unwelcoming start to the visit. A very poor welcome, shouted at for trying to speak Hungarian, dumped on a table and left for over 20 minutes before anyone spoke to us! We nearly left... No one knew that we had picked the master wine tasting. First impressions are everything!
The Manor is lucky to have excellent staff (Polish gentleman) otherwise this would have been an entirely different review. The front of house and how patrons are welcomed seriously needs looking at.
The wine tasting experience was great and we opted to have a meat/ cheese plate to share. High quality ingredients.
Beautiful setting."

"Etyeki Kúria is an absolute gem nestled in the Hungarian countryside. The grounds are stunning—peaceful, beautifully maintained, and the perfect backdrop for a relaxing day of wine tasting. The staff are warm, welcoming, and impressively knowledgeable, offering insights that truly elevate the experience. And the wines? Simply fantastic—balanced, expressive, and a true testament to the region’s quality. A must-visit for any wine lover."

"Very nice restaurant in the heart of the wine hill. Modern and stylish, very inviting, floor to ceiling windows. Food is great and the wines are even better. You can try all the diferent wines of the winery.
This is a fancy place, but not stuck up. Staff made us very welcome and we didn't feel out of place with a young child."
