What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Várfok Galéria is praised for its excellent, frequently changing exhibitions of contemporary art, featuring both Hungarian and international artists. Visitors appreciate the free admission, the friendly and knowledgeable English-speaking staff, and the intimate atmosphere. Some wish for more detailed information about the artworks on display.
"Nice small gallery space with frequently changing exhibitions. The staff is really nice and explains a bit abut what's on, in English. The gallery also has a show room across the street with another small exhibition. The lady offered to take me there—it has to be opened with a key, it's unstaffed—which was really nice. At the time of my visit the paintings were, by Franyo Aatoh in the main space and by Herman Levente in the showroom.
🌺 The gallery is free to visit so if you're nearby, why not! (But double check opening times, there is a holiday month in the summer)"

"Excellent exhibition of Francoise Gilot commemorating her 100th year, believe it or not she is 100 years old. Not to be missed. Closing on 15 th January 2022."
Elena Rücker
"Nice small gallery with interesting temporary exhibition, more information would be nice. I guess it’s not a museum but there was more opportunity to learn. Information that was there was in both Hungarian and English and the staff were nice and spoke English as well"
