What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors often find the Labyrinth of Buda Castle to be a uniquely atmospheric and spooky experience, perfect for those seeking a thrill or a glimpse into darker history. While some find it a bit pricey for its size, the eerie ambiance and the legend of Dracula make it a memorable attraction for many.
"So this place only accepted cash fyi. The caves was a nice cool break from all the sweating above ground. And yeah if you’re claustrophobic and don’t like walking down enclosed places, I wouldn’t recommend this place because you have to take small stairs to get to the cave and yeah…it was uncomfortable. But yeah it was creepy and we enjoyed it, especially the part where it was pitch dark and you have to figure out which way to walk (you can avoid this part if you prefer). A fun experience😉"

"Strange and a missed opportunity to create a great visitor attraction.
There are several statues representing Hungarian historical figures with information in English and Hungarian. However, these aren't in chronological order, and some of the signage is difficult to read in the poor light.
Poor quality waxwork figures, seemingly depicting operas with accompanying music are dotted about, along with a section about Vlad Dracul "Dracula", a couple of wells and a dark "maze".
Improved arrangement of the historical figures, better information, including historical the usage of the caves and improved signage overall would make this a much better experience."
