Reviews Summary

Tung Lung Chau is lauded as a beautiful island perfect for hiking and camping, offering stunning coastal views and a refreshing natural escape. Visitors appreciate the well-maintained trails, the unique ancient rock carving, and the availability of food stalls near the pier. However, some note that the campsite can get crowded, and it's essential to be mindful of the last ferry schedule.

"A beautiful island that is perfect for hiking 🥾 and camping. The boat ride is about 30 to 45min. For our visit, the back to mundane life trip was quicker clocking 30min. The island has well laid cement hiking trails with clear directional signs once you are on the trail. But getting to hiking trail entrance isn't too difficult to figure out. There are 7 little stores/eateries on the island. The best thing is that the stores sell different food so you can pick what you like. Finally, highly recommend you bring a pair of workman or rock climbing gloves if you are interested to access the rocky cliffs. You will need a full 8 to 10hrs if you plan to visit both the northern and southern part of the island. Last boat is 5:40PM but check the schedule as it could change periodically."

"This island is only accessible by boat.
The island is quite small . After landing ,one can choose a Northerly direction for about 1.3 KM or by going South for about 1.4 Km .
It has a great view of the North and Westly directions of Clear Water Bay and the Shek O areas respectively.
A very refreshing walk and quite easy to handle. One of the focusing points is the ancient Rock carving at the sea level from the viewing terrace. A few hundred steps of 220 M are the distance from viewing point to the Carving.
A very good one day trip at Autumn.
Food and snacks are available on the island.
The boat schedule is quite reasonable , roughly one trip per hour."
