"Tung Wan in Dec is quiet, cool (or chilling, depending if there is a cold front from the north hitting HK) and relaxing. The day I went there it had a water temp of 20 deg C and ambient temp 16. That is, it's actually warmer to submerge in the water than walking on the beach. Like most beaches in HK, water quality in winter is very nice"
