What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Tong Fuk Beach is praised as a clean, quiet, and idyllic spot on Lantau Island, often preferred for its less crowded atmosphere compared to nearby beaches. Visitors appreciate its natural beauty, including a unique freshwater stream and lovely sunset views, though some note the absence of equipment rentals.
"Really nice, easy going, lesser known and clean beach in Lantau Island, perhaps a tad better than the Cheung Sha beaches but no equipment store there. It is good enough just for a swim. Very nice scenery, and there is a little steam flowing with fresh water into the sea, quite a special feature. There was just one group of swimmers there when I went. Easily located off the main road and the bus stop. Take Bus 11 toward the Tai O direction and get off at Tong Fuk Tsuen."

"Stumbled across this beach after missing my stop to Cheung Sha Beach on Bus No. 11 - it is early January and there are 4-5 others excluding myself. The weather is a cool 17 degrees Celsius and with the morning sun out, it is a beautiful place to just watch the world go by. Many large flat rocks to choose from to just perch yourself on. There is a sign that says that lifeguard service is suspended until April 1, 2025."

"TongFuk beach is about a couple hundred meters west of Cheung Sha. Its size, view, and amenity are similar to those found in the other two."
