Reviews Summary

Sino Centre is a treasure trove for collectors, praised for its vast selection of anime figures, toys, and K-Pop merchandise at excellent prices. Visitors appreciate the sheer variety and the thrill of finding unique items. However, shoppers should be aware of the prevalence of fakes and the sometimes cramped conditions within the numerous small shops.

"Amazing selection of anime figurines, cards and anything nerdy like that.
I recommend coming at like 6pm because some shops do close earlier than stated on google maps. You just have to take the escalator that you see at the entrance of the building to access. When I visited this place on October 2025 there was some construction going on outside."

"There are a lot of different anime figures. But there are a ton of fakes. Some of them really good almost identical and some of them literally 3D printed. And low quality. The prices are really good tho while the selection isn’t that big"

"I came here to buy the animated toy. There are quite crowded with a lot of shops. The decoration is old style, and a bit dark. Sellers in here usually lists their items on carousell."

In-depth insights and expert knowledge

The Collector's Mecca: What to Expect

Sino Centre is a legendary destination for collectors in Hong Kong, particularly renowned for its vast array of anime figures, Gundam models, K-Pop merchandise, and art toys. The building itself is a multi-story labyrinth of small, independent shops, each specializing in different niches of pop culture collectibles. Visitors often describe it as a 'toy hunting' paradise, where you can spend hours browsing through shelves packed with everything from the latest releases to vintage treasures. TikTok+1

One of the biggest draws is the sheer variety and affordability of the items. Compared to prices in many Western countries, Sino Centre offers exceptional value, making it a prime spot for international visitors looking to snag deals on their favorite figures and memorabilia. However, this affordability also means you need to be discerning about authenticity. While many sellers offer genuine products, there's a notable presence of fakes and reproductions, some of which are incredibly well-made. Redditors advise inspecting items closely for quality and details before making a purchase. Reddit

Beyond the main categories, Sino Centre is also a hotspot for Sonny Angel collectors, with some shops boasting an extensive selection of regular and limited-edition figures. The atmosphere is often described as 'old-school' and a bit dark, adding to its unique charm. Many sellers also utilize online platforms like Carousell to list their inventory, so checking there can sometimes provide additional insights or options. TikTokReddit

Navigating the Shops: Tips for a Successful Haul

Successfully navigating Sino Centre requires a bit of strategy and patience. The building is structured with numerous small shops spread across multiple floors, accessible via escalators from the main entrance. It's recommended to allocate ample time for your visit, as you'll want to explore each level thoroughly to discover hidden gems. TikTok

When it comes to purchasing, cash is often king, though some vendors may accept credit cards. It's wise to have a mix of both. As mentioned, be vigilant about authenticity. Look for consistent paint application, clean mold lines, and proper packaging if available. If a deal seems too good to be true, it might be. Don't hesitate to compare prices between different shops for the same item if possible. Reddit

Many visitors find that the late afternoon and early evening offer a good balance between having most shops open and avoiding the largest crowds. Some reviews suggest that shops might close earlier than indicated on online maps, so aiming for around 6 PM can be a good strategy to ensure you don't miss out. TikTokReddit
