Reviews Summary

Sai Wan Beach is lauded for its stunning natural beauty, featuring white sands and clear waters, making it a top beach destination in Hong Kong. Visitors appreciate the scenic hike and the option of speedboat access. However, some reviews mention concerns about litter and the cost of return speedboat trips.

"Absolutely stunning beach, easily accessible through a 30 minutes walk in the woods. Get there by taking Bus R29 from Sai Kung, and don’t hesitate to hike past the first beach to find more remote, less crowded ones. A speedboat service runs every hour from the first and second beach, which will set you back 150 HKD."

"To reach Sai Wan Beach you need to hike a while first. Once you reach the beach you get rewarded with an amazing view and breeze.
It's a great spot to take a rest and enjoy.

The local there could do a way better job at keeping their area clean though. The cows are basically eating plastik from the ground, it's a disturbing view.."

Aki

"Sai Kung is regarded as the backyard of Hong Kong and it does live up to its fame. Amongst other sites, Sai Wan is the most accessible one. Take a mini-bus at the Sai Kung town centre, around 25 min walk then you arrive at Sai Wan Beach. It's very very very clear, spectacular scenery, and you see plenty of maritime lives in the sea, fish, crab, slug, sea cucumber, you name it. There are small restaurants there you can enjoy some fast food with the great sea view. Another 3 hour walk along the nicely built path you arrive at the Yellow Stone Pier where you take bus back to the town. It's a lovely place to go."
